Alchemist Spiritech Shock
Jeff Wagner - Terroriser Magazine Issue #46 1997

The hyper weirdness of Alchemists first record may have been a bit to bizarre for everyone but the most patient tech-head, but two records later and the years more wisdom, Australia’s finest undiscovered metallic extremity is now fully equipped with the sound they’ve been hinting at for years. Alchemist have tightened the reins and are totally going for it. This particular alchemy combines a compelling hybrid of intermittent, piercing vocal screams, Middle Eastern percussive rhythms. A personal standpoint and that acid drenched Ritchie Blackmore snake charmer guitar trademark that’s all their own. I guarantee that you have not heard anything quite like them before. For the uninitiated Alchemite, imagine Voi Vod and Supperation having a two on two confrontation with Fear Factory and Chaos AD era Sepultura. Truly and somewhat sadly, one metals finest and rarest undiscovered gems. Let’s hope that changes very soon.
