| In
the time shortly after Jar of Kingdom, Alchemist
needed a new record company, They recorded new material
at 2XX studios and started distributing copies of
“Promo 94” this eventually secured a deal with Australia’s
Shock records and the band entered Paradise studios
Sydney to record the drums. John Hersc was behind
the faders and the album was sounding much better.
Guitar, bass, vocals and keyboards were added at
Powerhouse and the album was mixed at Sony studios.
Lunasphere was released and the profile of the band
was raised considerably in Australia. The band toured
hard around their home country and the sounds of
Lunasphere became definitively Alchemist. Lunasphere
contains some of Alchemists most brutal and interesting
arrangements, as well as the introduction of keyboards
to the alchemic mix. |
