| In
early 2000 the band headed back to the studio,
Organasm was recorded and mixed again by DW
Norton at Backbeach studios in a very brief
but intense 2 weeks. The band had done several
pre-productions for the record and new the
songs inside out. The album titled Organasm
would be released a short time after by Chatterbox
Records in Australia and licensed to Displeased
Records from the Netherlands for overseas
territories. Organasm did well in Australia
and shortly afterward the band headed out
on the World War 3 tour of Australia with
Cryogenic and Psi Kore. The tour was a month
of mayhem but was a great success. Organasm
had also been released in Europe by Displeased
and the band was gaining more attention from
international press and labels plus. The band
ended the year as they do most years with
a performance at Metal for the Brain 10 and
a small tour with hero's Voi Vod. It was a
good year for the band but the first they
had to spend without the services of Gup who
was forced to leave due to an incapacitating
back condition. www.alchemist.com.au was also
launched in 2002 and proved to be an invaluable
resource both to fans and the band. |
