| In
1999 Jar of Kingdom was re-released by Shock
Records. The four songs from Demo 91 were
also included and the CD was released with
little publicity or promotion. It still meant
the whole Alchemist back catalogue was available
in Australia but overseas almost all of it
was unavailable. Shock's focus was entirely
domestic and the band knew that a new label
was needed or a new approach all together.
Alchemist began rehearsing and writing material
for their new record while playing a few east
coast shows. One memorable show was playing
open-air at Hanging Rock in Victoria, it was
freezing clod but the atmosphere was awesome.
Photos from there that were eventually used
on the rear of the Oragansm CD which was currently
being written, negotiations were also being
made with new record companies in a home to
gain the support the band needed overseas.
The band recorded 3 tracks at their rehearsal
studio and sent them to record companies as
Promo 99 increasing overseas interest. |
